Subject: Celebrating 25 years Tetris
Google's logo changed to a Tetris one today. I happen to have a clone of that game on my site and I'm ranked #7 in the SERPS when clicking the logo.

So let's see if this brings any major traffic. I've never experienced being ranked well for a Google doodle.

Normally this page receives ~150 visitors daily. Yesterday it was slightly over 1k.

Adsense CTR doubled also eCPM for the page doubled. So this relatively untargeted traffic is pretty click happy. As far as I can see Adsense showed a banner ad on that page as always.

Financially it's nothing to write home about. But I thought it's interesting to know/see how this "Goodle" traffic behaves.

Also I think the #1 and #2 in the SERPS will have had a real traffic spike.

At least it got you to start checking earnings again tongue sticking out smiley

Thing is Google is funny about traffic spikes like say from a digg or tweet, makes sense they reduce earnings, but what I don't get is why Google reacts the same when there is a traffic spike caused by their own Google Serps.

Ah, once again. Now a playable pac-man doodle. I'm ranking first page after finishing the game. Cool!

Very symmetrical!

So, there's evidence that a strategy of targeting Google logo results pages will be lucrative. How to implement that....
