Amazon has just posted an update to the Operating Agreement. There are various changes but the most notable is one that says the "session" started by someone clicking through to Amazon through our links will now be ended by them clicking through to Amazon again through ANY kind of link, not just one with an Associate ID in it.
I'm watching my conversion rates, as this is likely to reduce them. So far in Feb., they are half what they were last Feb.
No, that was earlier this year, but I'm glad this thread came back up--there was a later clarification from Amazon that this did not mean what I said.
Amazon links and "sessions" continue to work as assumed--click through our link starts the session. Only a finalized order, a click through a different Associate's link, clearing of cookies, or 24 hours end the session...
